Vanilla Butter Creme Meringue
All measures by weight, except if otherwise noted.

- 1 oz. aloe butter
- 1 oz. ultra-refined mango butter
- 1 oz. ultra-refined shea butter
- 1/8 oz. orange wax (optional)
- 1 oz. castor oil
- 1 oz. fractionated coconut oil
- 1/4 to 1/2 oz. glycerin USP
- 1/2 ro 2 oz. Natrasorb

Scent blend:
2 parts vanilla fragrance oil
- 1/4 part sweet orange essential oil (if not using orange wax)
- 1/4 part clove bud essential oil

Process:  Melt aloe butter and mango butter over low heat in a stainless steel vessel. Once liquid, remove from heat and stir in fixed oils and ROE. Cool in freezer til white “crust” begins to form along sides of vessel (from fats hardening) and the butters become semi-opaque. Remove from freezer and begin beating with an electric mixer, preferably one that is outfitted with whisks. Beaters work OK.

Once the mix becomes aerated and fluffy, drizzle in the glycerin while mixing on low speed. Once all the glycerin is in, whip again. Add Natrasorb. Whip and scrape down sides of bowl with a rubber spatula. Whip for 5-10 mins, til you get the consistency of a meringue.

This product will not become hard in 24 hours. It should remain fluid and creamy if mixed properly. Spoon into sterile jars. This product is not pump-able.

Homemade Whipped Body Butter Recipe

I have chosen the ingredients bellow to make this whipped body butter because they are more easily obtained locally with out having to order them online. You can find shea butter in health food stores, dollar stores and walmart even at times or any store that sells soap making supplies.

- 1 and 1/3 Cups of Shea Butter
- ½ Cup of Olive Oil
- 1 tsp. Of Vitamin E Oil
- ½ ounce of fragrance oil*

Directions:  You will want to heat the Shea Butter up slowly in a medium sized sauce pan until the Shea is in liquid form add in the olive oil once you achieve liquid form of Shea Butter. Let the mixture then sit and cool for about 30 to 40 minutes. Do not let it set fully back up though. At this point you are going to add in the Vitamin E and the Fragrance Oil.

You will now want to use a stick blender to whip the mixture until its very light in texture. It will give off a “mousse” like consistency. Make sure you have blended your fragrance oil and vitamin E oil in well. When selecting your fragrance oil choose something you will like as this whipped body butter will be an all over body delight.

When you have reached the desired consistency you can spoon your finished product into some kind of container. I have used everything from glass jars to glad containers. You can use any type of container as long as it has some sort of lid you will not want to expose this to air for long periods of time. Do not over pack the whipped body butter or you will defeat the purpose of it being whipped and light.

Whipped Shea Cream Recipe

 - 16 oz Shea butter
- ½ Cup Castor oil
- ¼ Cup EVOO
- ¼ Cup Coconut oil
- ½-1 Cup Aloe vera gel
- 2 Tsp Honey
- 20 drops Peppermint essential oil
How To:  Gently warm up shea butter in a pot with some water in it on the stove. (If you make the water very hot you will make your shea butter grainy) Once warm, transfer shea butter to a large mixing bowl and whip to a smooth consistency. Add oils and honey and whip again to mix them in. Gradually pour in aloe vera gel and continue to whip. Add whatever essential oils you like and whip till a frosting like consistency is achieved. Enjoy!

Tips:  I used more castor oil this time b/c it’s winter and the air is dryer so with castor oil being a great sealant I figured would be great for locking in more moisture this time of year.  When I whipped mine, I used a hand mixer but you can use a stationary mixer as well.  Try to store in the fridge when you’re not using. It will last you even longer. This recipe will make you a lot of cream!

If your cream feels too greasy, simply add more aloe vera gel or shea butter till you achieve a consistency you like.Do play around with different oils, ingredients, and ratios. I’m still playing around but this one is my best one yet for the cold months. I used more aloe vera gel this time so not only is more moisturizing but it’s less greasy too. My next batch is getting some coconut cream thrown up in the mix! Try, tweek if you like, share, and enjoy!
